Edo APC vows to petition EFCC over power sub-station contract by nairaway(m) : 11:30 am On Apr 01, 2016

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State has threatened to petition the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, if the contractor handling the power sub-station project at Ugoniyekeorhionnwon and Benin-Abraka Road fails to report to site and commence work to the extent which they have been mobilized.

The call was made when the leadership of the party in the state, led by its Publicity Secretary, Mr Godwin Erhahon, paid a visit to the site.

The party warned the contractors not to dare the Federal Government as the government was determined to make positive change in governance and deal mercilessly with any “failed and fraudulent contractor.”

Lamenting that the firm handling the project had failed to report to site over a year now, the party urged the company handling the dualization of Benin-Abraka Road to perform to specification and payment received or face the EFCC.

“We are aware that the former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP- led Federal Government collaborated with the contractors to squander the money and abandoned the projects and that is unacceptable.”
